Picasa is developed by Google Inc. for organizing images and viewing images. Picasa also used for editing digital photo. Picasa is currently working with Google Plus - a social Media Site. Picasa was taken over by Google in year 2004 and it offers it free. As Picasa is cross-platform software it is available for Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Mac OS X.
The latest version which is being offered by Google is Picasa 3.9 was released in January, 2015. Picasa have face recognition technology that detects faces on the Photos with Geo-tagging. Picasa makes it easier to manage photos on Google Plus and PC too. It have some basic photo editor tools too i.e., color enhancement, red eye removal and cropping.
